“I LOVE VBS. I was not raised in a church that did VBS so it was a fairly unknown concept to me until I started attending a Christian Bible College. Even then, it wasn’t until I had first hand experience with VBS a couple years ago that I REALLY understood what goes into it. But let me tell you this, I know VBS changes lives because, as an adult, I have watched it happen before my eyes. I know VBS changes lives because it changed MY life, as an adult. It didn’t change my life when I was 5 or 8 or 11. It changed my life at 24. It opened my eyes to a fun-loving, adventure-filled, creative God who delights in children of all ages and desperately wants His people to know him and his character and his salvation. Long before HHQ, God was my hero. And now, with HHQ I can don my cape and tell others how God can be their hero.”
